Socket set to change connectivity for the home and office forever

Group Gear has announced the release of its next generation wall socket, ‘WiFi Connekt’. For the first time ‘WiFi Connekt’ incorporates safe, secure WiFi and LAN network access with USB and traditional power distribution from a single wall mounted socket without the need for additional wiring.

“‘WiFi Connekt’ uses a buildings existing electrical wiring to make WiFi & data connection available everywhere without the cost, fuss or loss of performance. The incorporation of both USB and traditional power connections reduces further product and installation costs.” Comments Group Gear MD, Simon Tea.

‘WiFi Connekt’ offers electrical specifiers, contractors & end users the ability to provide WiFi & data access as well as USB charging, all within a traditional wall mounted power socket.

Interest in ‘WiFi Connekt’ has already been significant from both the residential and commercial sectors. With key electrical distributors, such as Screwfix, seeing a large number of inquiries for the product.

“Early interest in the product suggests we’re solving a genuine problem. Providing WiFi and data connection in residential and commercial buildings has previously come at a huge cost, involving the installation of multiple networks and sockets”.

Reducing costs

“‘WiFi Connekt’ eliminates that costs by aggregating everything into a single socket. It also uses an existing electrical circuit to transfer data securely. We are raising the standard for electrical sockets.” Tea continues.

Specifiers, contractors & end users seem to agree with Tea’s message. “Providing WiFi and data access to larger buildings has always been time consuming and upsetting for the customer. Pulling and chasing in cables creates plenty of mess. The fact that I can use the electrical wiring via ‘WiFi Connekt’ means my quotes are more attractive. I get the job done in a fraction of the time.” Paul Filby, electrician.

‘WiFi Connekt’ offers great end user performance. Its seemless WiFi offers 2.4 GHz single band frequency in SSID. That means that whatever room you’re in, it won’t drop in signal. It’s also safe and secure with your data accessed via WEP, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and 128 BIT AES Encryption.

Finally, it offers easy set up and configuration via your internet browser. Giving you complete control over individual access points.
