Silanna Launches Plural™ ADC Evaluation Kits to Challenge Legacy Sole-Source Providers

Silanna Semiconductor is taking direct aim at the entrenched norms of legacy analog-to-digital converter (ADC) suppliers with the launch of its first Evaluation Kits (EVKs) for the Plural™ ADC platform. These EVKs offer engineers a faster, more affordable path to evaluate and integrate high-performance data converters—without the premium price tag or long lead times that have long plagued the market.

A New Take on ADC Design and Delivery

At the core of Silanna’s Plural platform is a disruptive design approach: a single silicon die that can be factory-configured to support over 35 product variants after wafer fabrication. This allows Silanna to offer more than 150 ADC options across four resolution classes—10-bit, 12-bit, 14-bit, and 16-bit—with sampling rates from 20 to 250 MSPS.

Notably, over 60% of these devices are pin-compatible drop-in replacements for parts offered by legacy providers, making it easy for engineers to switch without redesigning their boards.

Real-Time Availability and Cost Advantages

Plural’s architecture also enables a significant shift in supply chain agility. Silanna can hold wafers in inventory and package-to-order, delivering custom-configured ADCs with lead times measured in weeks, not months. That speed is matched with a price advantage: Plural ADCs come in at over 30% lower cost than comparable legacy solutions.

“Many engineers are stuck in sole-source situations where they’re overpaying and waiting months for delivery,” said Patrick Moore, Silanna’s VP of Sales. “We’re offering a genuine alternative—everything you need, nothing you don’t, at a fraction of the cost. Ask yourself: are you paying 30% too much for your ADC?”

Evaluation Made Easy

The new Plural EVKs support all current and future ADCs in the platform, giving engineers a hands-on way to evaluate device performance, signal integrity, and system compatibility. The kits are designed for simplicity, allowing for fast testing and easy integration into new or existing designs.

Initial EVK support will cover 50 ADC products starting September 2025, with the full lineup of 150+ devices expected by mid-2026. The kits will be distributed through authorized Silanna partners starting this month.

Breaking the Mold

With Plural, Silanna isn’t just launching a product line—it’s taking a stand against outdated industry practices. By combining configurable die-level innovation, agile manufacturing, and disruptive pricing, the company is giving engineers what they’ve long needed: flexibility, affordability, and speed—without compromising performance.
