Microsoft shows football fans how they’ll benefit from HoloLens tech

If you thought Microsoft’s HoloLens, its augmented reality headset, was just for technology lovers and computer enthusiasts, you were wrong — sports fans will benefit, too, once the project is complete.

In keeping with Super Bowl this weekend, Microsoft thought it would let football fans know just how much HoloLens will be able to do for them in this company video.

The video shows HoloLens working for fans by extending the game beyond the TV screen with displays, player stats, and even instant replays right on your coffee table.

Microsoft envisions the future of football with HoloLens, portraying favorite players in high-definition, plays that come through your screen as pop-up 3D holograms, and even fantasy score updates in real-time.
