WIN Enterprises announces
the PL-80920, a high-performance 2U rackmount hardware platform designed for network service applications. The powerful device is versatile enough to serve IT Enterprise, cloud-based call centers, SDN, and communications applications. It can deliver enhanced packet processing as well as other high-performance network security functions for IT, such as firewall, UTM, and IPS.
It utilizes the new Intel Microarchitecture Haswell-EP platform featuring the Xeon E5-2600 V3 family and the Intel® C612 series chipset (codenamed Wellsburg). This Intel CPU represents a new generation platform with up to 18 processing cores. It supports 45MB of cache memory.

The PL-80920 is an advancement in computing performance, system responsiveness featuring the Intel® E5-2600 V3 processor. It supports eight DDR4 ECC RDIMM/ LRDIMM (up to 2133 MHz) and maximum memory capacity of up to 256 GB. With 40 PCIe Express lanes, the PL-80920 can support up to 8 NIC modules. The device provides multiple Ethernet module bays to enable flexible port configurations; such as 10Gigabit SFP+; Gigabit copper LAN ports with optional bypass function; and Gigabit fiber ports. The maximum number of GbE Ethernet ports supported is 64.
The PL-80920 includes two management Ethernet ports (one for management, another for optional IPMI function), a console port, two USB ports, a LCD module, and a 5-button keypad. LEDs monitor power, HDD, with 2 for general purpose I/O. In addition, the unit supports two front-swappable 2.5” SATA HDDs/SSDs and onboard CompactFlash™ for basic network storage applications.
WIN Enterprises will work with OEM solutions providers to modify this COTS design to more specific specifications when ordered in standard OEM quantities.
