Video of the Day: Cattle-herding robot gets to work

The students over at the Australian Centre for Field Robotics, a division of the The University of Sydney, have developed SwagBot, farming robot with the ability to operate in the rugged cattle station environment.

Watch as the all-wheel-drive robot displays its skill-set, which includes monitoring and herding animals on the farm and traversing obstacles. The student team will focus its future trials toward autonomous farm activities including monitoring and interacting with plants and animals.
