Apple and Mercedes-Benz announced native support for Apple Music’s spatial audio with Dolby Atmos is rolling into Mercedes-Benz vehicles globally, including Mercedes-Maybach, EQS, EQS SUV, EQE, and S-Class models.
Spatial audio requires a Mercedes-Benz vehicle with a Burmester 3D or 4D sound system with a price tag of thousands. Spatial audio delivers an immersive surround-sound listening experience that makes it sound like the music is all around you. It launched in 2021 on Apple’s iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. This is the first automotive adoption.
