ACM series complies with the latest energy efficiency and safety standards

XP Power announced today additions to its ACM series of external plug-top (wall mount) single output AC/DC power supplies. The 12W ACM12, 24W ACM24 and the 36W ACM36 models comply with the latest energy efficiency and safety standards required for use in healthcare and industrial applications.

With a maximum no-load power consumption of 75mW across the range, the ACM series meets the latest Level VI energy efficiency standard for products sold into the US market. Also, the units meet the EU Code of Conduct (CoC) Tier 2 efficiency specifications for products sold in Europe. The ACM series offers the high efficiency performance and low no-load power credentials to ensure that equipment running costs are kept to a minimum.

The ACM series also features a high isolation rating of 4kVAC, a typical low leakage current of 30uA, and provides two Means Of Patient Protection (MOPP) for healthcare applications, including patient monitoring equipment.

With a 90-264VAC input range and a selection of five interchangeable input plugs, the ACM series is suitable for use worldwide.

The single output covers all the popular nominal voltages from 9 to 48VDC and is model dependent. Output connection is via a standard jack plug connector.

The standard case color is black, but the units are available in white as an option (subject to minimum order quantities).

Typical applications for the ACM series include medical devices, cosmetic treatment, test and measurement, mobile communications and environmental monitoring systems. The ACM12, 24 and 36 compliment the current 6 and 18W models previously released.

The series is available from Digi-Key, element14, Farnell, RS Components, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power and come with a 3-year warranty.
