Digital ICs refer to the technology of integrated circuits. An integrated circuit is made up of a few electronic circuits on one plate of semiconductor material, most commonly silicon. Advanced digital ICs called microprocessors control much of our electronics such as computers, microwaves, and cellphones. ICs are also used in medical devices such as implants. This category of products can be broken down: logic ICs, memory chips, interface ICs, power management ICs, and programmable devices.
