Sure-Seal Connections is expanding access to its environmentally sealed connector portfolio in North America through a new franchised distribution agreement with Wesgarde.
Under the agreement, Wesgarde will distribute Sure-Seal products throughout North America, with an emphasis on marine, on-highway, off-highway and food equipment applications. These are environments where electrical connections routinely face water, chemicals, vibration and changing weather conditions.
The agreement gives OEMs and engineers another distribution channel for Sure-Seal’s rugged connector families, including Standard Sure-Seal, Mini Sure-Seal and Power Sure-Seal.
Sure-Seal connectors are designed to maintain sealed electrical connections in applications exposed to water, oils, fuels, automotive fluids, UV and vibration. The connectors are water-submersible, with the Sure-Seal series rated to IP67 and designed for operating temperatures from -40°F to 221°F.
That environmental protection becomes important in equipment where a connector sits outside the relatively controlled conditions of an enclosure. Construction machinery, marine systems, agricultural equipment and vehicles, for example, place connectors close to the conditions the equipment itself encounters.
Wesgarde has supplied electrical products and electromechanical interconnect components to OEM customers for more than 50 years. Adding Sure-Seal expands its connector offering for these harsh-environment applications while extending Sure-Seal’s sales and application support network across North America.
The distribution agreement is effective now, with the Sure-Seal portfolio available to customers through Wesgarde.
