Dale Hancock Appointed As Ambiq Micro Vice President Of Engineering

Ambiq Micro announced the appointment of Dale Hancock as Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Hancock brings over 20 years of experience working in the semiconductor industry and has joined the high growth start-up with immediate effect, reporting to Chief Executive Officer and President, Mike Noonen.

Dale will be responsible for leading the engineering department in developing new semiconductor products using Ambiq Micro’s proprietary Subthreshold Power Optimized Technology (SPOT™) platform. SPOT dramatically lowers the energy consumption of semiconductors by reducing the voltage level at which switching occurs inside the chips. The company has already implemented this technology into products including real-time clocks as well as a microcontroller family, all of which are manufactured using a standard CMOS process.
