Globalways AG, a hosting company based in Stuttgart, has chosen IT infrastructure solutions from Rittal as it expands its high-performance data centre. The main reason for the decision was the performance of Rittal’s Liquid Cooling Package (LCP) cooling solution, which guarantees a high cooling output in a small space.

The core competences of the hosting provider Globalways AG are highly available data centres and data centre interconnections in the Stuttgart region, with transmission speeds of 10 Gbit/s or more. The company has opted for Rittal’s Liquid Cooling Package (LCP) Inline cooling solution in order to expand of the data centre at its Stuttgart-Mitte location. This way, high heat loads of up to 55 kW can be dissipated in a confined space. EC (electronically commutated) fan technology, which ensures an optimal utilisation of the motors, guarantees the maximum energy efficiency of the cooling solution. In order to avoid hot and cold air mixing in the data centre and to achieve the highest possible energy efficiency, Globalways uses eleven Rittal cold aisle containments.

Moreover, Globalways relies on 85 Rittal TS IT racks. With a load capacity of up to 1,500 kg on the 19-inch level, it meets the Globalways IT managers’ requirements for server rack stability. It also offers an intelligent cable management system, which can be used as a basis for comfortably installing patch cables, for example.
