New smartphone app lets you paint with light

If you have a smartphone and a passion for art, check out the newly released app PABLO which allows users to capture HD light trails and light graffiti in real time with a patent-pending “live-view” technology.

To create beautiful light paintings that can be shared socially, users need to focus on the camera’s settings, paying attention to variables like light sensitivity and exposure time. The PABLO camera has exposure controls, timers and “image flippers” for these aspects.

The on the app’s website, users can gain some how-to knowledge and learn not only how to maximize the app’s features, but also how to create cool images like silhouettes.

Using the camera app, anyone can turn ordinary lights into an illuminated graffiti art form.

The app was the result of teamwork between two companies, LightBomber, a light painting photography company, and Imperial Creation, an app development company, and is now available for download  in the iTunes app store and will be coming to Android soon.
