Tiny Accessory Doubles Your Charging Times Using Your Own Cables

Want super-fast charging speeds? A San Francisco-based start-up company has created a small accessory that uses your own cables to double charging times.

The PompAdapter comes equipped with a smart IC that lets you change the charging mode of your device to provide maximum current, and as a result, shorter charging time.

The maximum charging current of a device often depends on how much power the device has. For example, the maximum current can keep decreasing as the battery becomes more full. Instead, the PompAdapter makes sure that the power supply interface matches the device’s charging mode to provide the maximum current it needs to charge in as little time as possible.

The PompAdapter includes an auto power function to preserve the battery, so you will not need to unplug the device when it is 100% charged and can actually see how much faster the device is charging.

The adapter also features an LCD for real-time charging information including the voltage and current.

PompAdapter has launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to raise production funds. So far, the company has far exceeded its initial funding goal of $3,500. If interested, you can order a PompAdapter (with free shipping) for an early-bird price of $20.
