Worldwide Semiconductor Market is Forecast to be $412bn in 2019
The World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) has released its new semiconductor market forecast generated in May 2019. WSTS expects the world semiconductor market to be down to $412bn in 2019.
This reflects expected decrease in almost all major categories, with Memory decreasing by 30.6%, followed by Analog with five percent, and Logic with four percent. In 2019, all geographical regions are expected to decrease.
Worldwide semiconductor market is expected to recover in 2020 For 2020, all regions are forecast to grow with the overall market up 5.4%, with Memory contributing the highest growth, followed by Optoelectronics and Logic.
