HARTING’s M12 Slim Design connectors and components with crimp termination technology cater to the growing use of M12 connectivity in factory automation and transportation where they deliver robust performance for high speed 1-10 Gigabit Ethernet communications. Female and male versions of the M12 Slim Design connectors have a 16.5 mm external diameter for high density integration on devices where space is at a premium, like switches, in the case of the female version. The Slim Design connectors conform to IEC 61076-2-109, and comply with Cat. 6a and Performance Class Ea.

HARTING’s M12 X-Code lineup features standard as well as the Slim Design connectors. These connectors are ideal eight-wire interfaces for carrying data in processes like the optical technologies – cameras and inspection systems – used in monitoring high-speed production lines. HARTING also offers over-molded variants of these connectors in different lengths as well as an extensive range of complementary M12 components, like the M12 har-speed gender changer’s space saving design for the IP65/67 environment. The gender changer permits connection of M12 female/d-coded to female/x coded for fast Ethernet 100Mbits/s. The eight-pin, har-speed M12 to RJ45 panel adaptor makes new cabling easier for 1/10Gbit Ethernet in machinery, food and beverage processing equipment as well as packaging systems.
